RuralRelay
Terms of Use
Last updated: 17 September 2026
1. About RuralRelay
RuralRelay provides a platform designed to connect Australian farms and employers with workers seeking farm employment opportunities.
By accessing the RuralRelay website, submitting a worker profile, submitting a job or otherwise using our services, you agree to these Terms of Use.
RuralRelay provides a matching and introduction service. Unless expressly stated otherwise, RuralRelay is not the employer of workers using the platform and is not a recruitment agency acting as an employer.
2. How RuralRelay Works
Farms and employers may submit information about available jobs, including roles required, location, start date, duration, pay, accommodation, experience, skills and licence requirements.
Workers may create a profile containing information about their availability, location, experience, machinery experience, skills, licences and employment preferences.
RuralRelay may use this information to identify potentially suitable matches and notify workers about relevant opportunities.
Workers choose whether they are interested in an opportunity. Where a worker indicates interest, relevant information from their profile may be provided to the farm or employer so that the parties can communicate directly.
A match, notification or introduction does not guarantee employment, an interview or that either party will proceed.
3. Worker Responsibilities
Workers are responsible for ensuring that the information they provide to RuralRelay is accurate, current and not misleading.
This includes information relating to experience, qualifications, licences, tickets, availability, location, references, visa status and work rights.
Workers are responsible for determining whether a job is suitable for them and for reviewing employment conditions before accepting work.
Workers must not provide false qualifications, licences, experience, work rights or other misleading information.
4. Farm and Employer Responsibilities
Farms and employers are responsible for ensuring that job information provided to RuralRelay is accurate and not misleading.
Employers remain responsible for recruitment decisions, employment agreements, wages, superannuation, workplace safety, insurance and compliance with applicable workplace, immigration and employment laws.
RuralRelay does not determine employment conditions or make hiring decisions on behalf of farms or employers.
Employers are responsible for verifying a worker’s identity, qualifications, licences, references and legal right to work where appropriate before employment begins.
5. Pay, Accommodation and Job Information
Information about pay, hours, duration, accommodation, start dates and other employment conditions displayed or communicated through RuralRelay is generally based on information supplied by the farm or employer.
Users should confirm important employment conditions directly with each other before accepting or commencing work.
RuralRelay does not guarantee that a job will continue for a particular period or provide a particular number of working hours unless RuralRelay has expressly agreed otherwise in writing.
6. Visa and 88-Day Information
RuralRelay may allow farms or employers to indicate that work is expected to count toward specified work requirements associated with certain Australian visas.
This information is provided to assist workers in identifying potentially relevant opportunities. RuralRelay does not provide immigration or legal advice and does not guarantee that particular employment will qualify for any visa extension, specified work requirement or other immigration purpose.
Workers are responsible for checking their individual visa conditions and confirming eligibility with the relevant Australian government authority or a suitably qualified migration professional where necessary.
7. Profiles, CVs and Personal Information
Information submitted through RuralRelay is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
Worker profiles are not intended to operate as a publicly searchable worker database.
When a worker indicates interest in a particular opportunity, RuralRelay may provide relevant profile information, contact information and a CV, where supplied, to the farm or employer associated with that opportunity.
Users must use personal information obtained through RuralRelay only for legitimate employment and recruitment-related purposes and must not misuse, sell, publish or distribute that information for unrelated purposes.
8. No Guarantee of Employment or Worker Suitability
RuralRelay aims to identify potentially suitable matches using information provided by users. However, a match should not be considered a guarantee or independent verification of a worker, employer or job.
RuralRelay does not guarantee that a worker will be suitable for a particular position, that an employer will offer employment, that a worker will accept an opportunity, or that information supplied by another user is complete or accurate.
Farms and workers are responsible for carrying out any checks they consider appropriate before entering into an employment relationship.
9. Acceptable Use
You must not use RuralRelay to:
• provide false, fraudulent or deliberately misleading information;
• impersonate another person or business;
• advertise unlawful employment or working conditions;
• harass, threaten or exploit another user;
• collect or use personal information for unrelated marketing or other unauthorised purposes;
• interfere with the operation or security of RuralRelay; or
• use the service for unlawful purposes.
RuralRelay may restrict or remove access to the service where we reasonably believe these Terms have been breached or the platform is being misused.
10. Third-Party Services
RuralRelay may use third-party services to provide website hosting, forms, data storage, email communications, automation and other technical functions.
RuralRelay may also provide links or access to third-party websites or services. We are not responsible for the content, availability or practices of third-party services that we do not control.
11. Service Availability
We aim to keep RuralRelay available and operating reliably, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access.
We may modify, suspend or discontinue parts of the service where reasonably necessary, including for maintenance, security, technical improvements or changes to RuralRelay.
12. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, RuralRelay is not responsible for losses arising solely from employment decisions, workplace disputes, inaccurate information supplied by users, the conduct of employers or workers, or arrangements made directly between users following an introduction through RuralRelay.
Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or modifies any rights, guarantees or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded under applicable Australian law.
13. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time as RuralRelay develops or our services change.
Updated Terms will be published on this page with a revised “Last updated” date. Continued use of RuralRelay after updated Terms take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms where permitted by law.
14. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws applicable in Australia and, where relevant, the laws of the Australian state or territory applicable to RuralRelay’s operations.
